This article explains the ‘Generation’ attribute of horses in the MetaRace® Horse Racing game.
‘Generation’ refers to the breeding order of a horse, denoted by its bionic grade. All Genesis horses are first-generation and have a bionic grade of M0S0. The next generation, bred from two Genesis horses, has a bionic grade of M1S0, as shown below.
Bionic grade is calculated as follows:
M = the lower bionic grade of the two horses + 1
S = the higher bionic grade of the two horses
The first five bionic grades have unique names, indicating their rarity:
M0 Master Craftsman
M1 Engineer
M2 Machinist
M3 Sr. Technician
M4 Technician
M5 Apprentice
(All horses at bionic grade M5 and above belong to the apprenticeship system)
The iteration factor of the first generation Genesis horses is the maximum of 10,000, meaning they have perfect attributes. The iteration factor decreases as the generations increase, according to a formula. Since a horse cannot retain the attributes of the previous generation, each new horse will always have a slightly lower iteration factor than the generation before. It does not mean however that a new generation of horses will always lose to earlier generations, as there are additional random factors designed to influence the race outcome.
As with traditional horse racing, the value of a horse varies depending on its quality and pedigree. The lower the generation, the greater the rarity and higher the attributes, so owning a first-generation racehorse should be the goal of every MetaRace Horse Racing player!
